Computing

At Benedict House Preparatory School, our computing curriculum equips children with the skills, confidence and creativity they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world. Using iPads, we follow the Purple Mash scheme of work, which supports a progressive and structured approach to learning from the earliest stages through to Year 6.

Pupils develop their understanding of coding, digital media and key computer science concepts through engaging and practical activities that encourage problem solving and creativity. Online safety is a consistent priority within our curriculum and children take part in regular mini sessions that help them understand how to use technology responsibly, make safe choices online and develop positive digital habits.
